Overview
- The Obama Foundation Scholars Program aims to train world leaders who are motivated and committed to solving problems in their communities, countries and regions.
- Scholars will gain knowledge and skills necessary for fostering development in their home countries. Moreover, scholars will be able to build long lasting relations and collaborations with other scholars from all over the world.
- The Obama Foundation Scholars Program is offering fully funded scholarships for emerging leaders at the University of Columbia, New York. The Foundation offers; University tuition fees, monthly living stipend, accommodation, travel costs and health insurance
Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible, an applicant must:Have proven commitment to service and leadership within a community, region or country outside the United States
- Be an emerging leader who has made meaningful contributions to his/her field and is now at a “tipping point” in his/her careerBe fluent in English (verbal, written and spoken)
- Have the ability and inclination to positively shape the future of their community.
- Have a demonstrated commitment to humility, integrity, inclusivity, stewardship, fearlessness, imagination and teamwork
